Boise State quarterback Maddux Madsen has been named to the Manning Award Watch List, becoming the only Mountain West player among the 27 nominees for the honor given to the nation’s top quarterback. Already on several other prestigious watch lists, Madsen enters the 2025 season with a 13-2 record as a starter and one of the best touchdown-to-interception ratios in the country.

The Boise State Broncos have returned to the AP Top 25 Preseason Poll for the first time since 2018, entering the 2025 season fresh off a dominant 12-2 campaign and back-to-back Mountain West titles. Led by standout QB Maddux Madsen and RB Ashton Jeanty, the reigning champs will open their season at South Florida on August 28, airing nationally on ESPN.
