After a rough Week One against USF, Boise State is ready to bounce back in front of its home crowd as the Broncos take on Eastern Washington this Friday night on The Blue.

The Broncos will return to Albertsons Stadium for the first time since hoisting the 2024 Mountain West Championship trophy, and history says they’re in good hands. Boise State is riding a 12-game win streak at home and owns an incredible .8981 winning percentage on The Blue (141-16) since 2000 – the third-best mark of in the nation behind only Oklahoma (.903, 140-15) and Ohio State (.8982, 150-17).

Boise State has also been dominant in home openers, posting a 47-10 all-time record since 1968. As an FBS program, they’ve gone 26-3 on those games since 1996 and have won 22 of their last 23 home debuts.

History is definitely on the Broncos side heading into Week Two and head coach Spencer Danielson made it clear that fans should not expect a repeat of what they saw in Florida last week.

“We got our butts kicked on Thursday night and now it’s our job to not flinch because we learn from it,” Danielson said. “We know what getting punched in the mouth feels like. Now our job is to get stronger, we have got to be able to respond better out there.”

And there’s no better place to respond than on The Blue. Since 2018,Boise State’s home crowd has forced 113 false starts – 25 more than any other fan base in the country. Boise State averages 2.83 false starts forced per home game, easily the most in the FBS.

With the crowd behind them, a historic home-field advantage and a chip on their shoulder, the Broncos are ready for redemption. Kickoff against Eastern Washington is set for 7 p.m. MT Friday on FS1.
